End Of Summer Skincare

To begin your fall skincare transition, I like to detox my skin from summer skin products. I ease away from using treatment cleansers, thick sunscreens, concentrated exfoliants, and sweet smelling body care products also. When the weather starts cooling off, I begin to incorporate my Nourishing cleansers, soothing moisturizers, Ayurvedic style exfoliation, and fresh and light scents for body care.

How To Choose Your Seasonal Skincare Products

I like to think of it as from hot to cold or slim to thick. When it’s warm or very hot, opt for skincare products that are lightweight, water-based, and use sunscreens with a higher SPF. For the Fall season, you rotate your products by swapping for heavier moisturizers and creams, nourishing and hydrating serums and face mask. So on and so forth.

With that being said, you don’t have to completely abandon your summer skincare favorites. Lots of products are seasonally universal and you can incorporate them within your skincare routine as needed. Universal products are typically going to be treatment serums that target specific skincare needs.

Best Way To Swap Your Summer To Fall Skincare Products

  • Switch from gel and foam cleansers to a cream-based cleanser
  • Switch from lightweight moisturizers to a heavy & rich cream moisturizer
  • Reintroduce retinols and hydrating serums
  • Calm down on exfoliating because your skin is more sensitive during cooler seasons
  • Hyper target hyperpigmentation in the fall with treatment products

Sleeping Beauty Skincare Hack

You’ve most likely heard this before but, get a humidifier as soon as possible. What’s the point in purchasing beauty and skincare products if the air you sleep in is dry?

having a humidifier puts moisture into air, and its essential to getting glass skin. Sleeping in dry conditions can effect your skin moisture barrier and you could begin to experience dry, cracking, and peeling of the skin. It’s a game changer!

The idea of having your skincare routine from summer to fall is to be more gentle on your skin. During the summer your skin experienced higher temperatures, and that means a little less hydration. Now, in the fall, your skin needs to absorbs hydrating and calming products. Keep it as simple as possible and use products your skin loves.

Which seasonal skincare essentials will you be using to keep your skin soft, subtle, and glowing?
